My name is Laurie. Growing up in a family of French-Canadian origin, I wanted to be able to communicate with my relatives, so I studied French all through junior and senior high school. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to study abroad in Paris during my senior year of college. I love the language and the culture and have been teaching now for 23 years. I live in Alaska and I love to spend time outside camping, fishing, and gardening. At home, I enjoy sewing and gourmet cooking for my family and friends.

UMass Boston Masters in Applied Linguistics and TESOL
LSU Certificate of Education Specialist in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Reading and Adult Literacy.

I am certified as a French and ESL teacher in Alaska. Louisiana and Pennsylvania.
