Hello! My name is Teacher Courtney. I am a mom to 6 children, and a grandmother to 4! I have been teaching children since 2008. I originally began teaching in Florida to students aged 12-18 years old. We learned English, Reading skills and I also taught Drama courses in high school. I have 8 years of formal teaching experience in a number of areas. As a primary teacher for 4 years, I taught all major subjects. As a secondary teacher for 2 years, I taught English as a Foreign Language, and prepared students for TOEFL, IELTS, and SAT Reading and Writing. Additionally, I taught English and Teaching Methods and Theories at the university level, and have professionally coached and consulted 90+ English teachers.

My main concentration is in Reading and English Language Arts. I have taught diverse populations in New York, Georgia and Alabama.

I am a university teacher of English. I have an MA in English language and literature. I have been teaching for fourteen years. During these years, I taught a variety of subjects including English and American drama, fiction and poetry, general English, English composition, translation and discourse analysis.

I have provided direct instruction and differentiated learning to struggling students, ages 3-21, for 22 years.
