Hello! My name is Teacher Courtney. I am a mom to 6 children, and a grandmother to 4! I have been teaching children since 2008. I originally began teaching in Florida to students aged 12-18 years old. We learned English, Reading skills and I also taught Drama courses in high school. I have 8 years of formal teaching experience in a number of areas. As a primary teacher for 4 years, I taught all major subjects. As a secondary teacher for 2 years, I taught English as a Foreign Language, and prepared students for TOEFL, IELTS, and SAT Reading and Writing. Additionally, I taught English and Teaching Methods and Theories at the university level, and have professionally coached and consulted 90+ English teachers.

Eleven years of teaching and tutoring including my own children. A Bachelors and Masters Degree along with a teaching certificate. I love to teach and can help with many subjects.

I have been teaching English at all levels since 1998 in several colleges.I have three degrees including BA English literature,MA English composition from cal state university San Bernardino 2000 and a doctorate from argosy university 2009.I have tutored in the writing centers since 1996.

I have recently retired as a Newton Public school teacher after 36 years. Although I am looking forward to retirement, I would like to continue working closely with students and making a positive difference in their lives.
